How did I get here?
I’ve spent years building and leading engineering teams hiring, promoting, running performance cycles, and bulding things that scale. I've sat in countless rooms where decisions get made about who’s “ready” for the next level.
I started as an individual contributor, owning features and fixing bugs like everyone else. Over time, I found myself pulled toward the “glue work” that holds teams together unblocking people, coordinating projects, and translating between product, design, and engineering.
I created Engineering Lead to help as many people as I can become better makers of software and systems. It’s a place where I share what I’m learning and what’s worked for me across leadership, product development, software engineering, and the tools that make building easier.
